Mr. Thomas Zucker-Scharff has worked at the Albert Einstein Cancer Center since 1992. He started as an administrator/manager and is now associate faculty. He is the Cancer Center Systems Manager. Mr. Zucker-Scharff, a Microsoft Certified Professional (MCP) with expertise in the Windows NT, 2000,XP Professional, Vista, 7 and 8.x as well as Computer Security, is responsible for the flow of information among Cancer Center staff, members and the public. Mr. Zucker-Scharff keeps abreast of the latest information technology and applies such technologies that are of benefit to Cancer Center operations. He oversees the server that is the central computer housed in the administrative offices of the Cancer Center and is responsible for computer security and integrity and updating the systems when appropriate. He is responsible for the development and maintenance of all components of the Cancer Center website. This includes, but is not limited to, original graphics design, content editing, navigation compliance and timely updates to assure the most accurate data about members, shared resources, specific information about clinical trials activities and new Cancer Center program initiatives are available. Mr. Zucker-Scharff has been responsible for the implementation of a centralized reference database that encompasses the Cancer Center membership (both in Reference Manager and in EndNote).
